Vision Guard
The core of the app is an interactive eye test in which the patient is presented with test symbols on their screen. But instead of sitting in a doctor's surgery, the test can be carried out from the comfort of your own home or anywhere else with internet access.
While the patient identifies the test signs, an ophthalmologist can observe live via camera how well or poorly the patient recognizes the signs.

The app offers special aids for the doctor. They can see the respective test symbol in a legible size and also have an expiry timer in view, which shows them how much time is left for the respective test phase. This provides optimum control and monitoring of the test procedure.
The app also visualizes the progress of the test. Each test sign answered by the patient is displayed either in green (for correctly recognized) or in red (for incorrectly recognized). This gives the doctor a quick overview of the patient's performance and helps with the diagnosis.

How is testing done?
Test characters of different sizes are presented sequentially to determine the visual threshold. The patient has 10 seconds to verbally identify the respective test character. The response is checked by speech recognition and presented in text form for confirmation.

During the entire test, your optician or doctor will be on hand to provide advice and support. The camera function and the predefined test signs allow the professional to observe the process closely. This ensures that the test is carried out correctly and also provides an additional level of safety, as the optician or doctor can intervene immediately in an emergency.
